As a result of the Annual joint meeting to enhance cooperation and coordination between the regional centers under the Basel and Stockholm conventions, BCRC-Egypt is planning to conduct this event in Sharm ElSheikh, Egypt on the 10th-12th of December, 2016, since most of the Arab states have unclear concepts and views concerning the environment that could enable successful technology transfer on their national level and on the regional level as well.
Objectives
- Discuss the pros and cons of the current environments in the Arab countries and their suitability for technology transfer at the national and the regional level.
- Presenting the requirements to create a supportive environment for technology transfer
- Review of the best ways to enhance the environment for technology transfer and how to translate them into action.
- Discuss how to enhance networking among the Arab countries themselves and with the regional center for the transfer of technology.

There were 14 participants from 12 Arab countries, which were: Djibouti, Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Algeria, Jordan, Yemen, Lebanon, Mauritania, Palestine and Qatar.
