Conference on the psychological and social consequences of crises and disasters and their impact on Arab societies

The Arab International Center for Training and Consulting organized a conference entitled "Psychological and Social Repercussions of Crises and Disasters and Their Impact on Arab Societies", on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Civic Education Center in Al-Jazirah.

Objective/s: Knowing the methods of psychological rehabilitation after crises and disasters and the extent of the impact of these crises on the family and other important goals. The conference objectives are represented in several main axes: Types of crises and the difference between them and disasters and chaos, the causes that lead to disasters and crises, the negative impact of crises and disasters on the mental health of individuals, psychological rehabilitation and treatment after crises and disasters, the impact of crises and disasters on family relationships, employing available means and capabilities and using them to reconcile what is happening internally and externally, drugs and vulgar arts as a means of escaping from facing the changes resulting from disasters and crises, the role of professors of psychiatry and social workers in treating the effects of the crisis, the role of the school in treating collective depression and its effects on students, the impact of electronic games and their destructive effects on children, the role of the media in dealing with crises and disasters, the role of civil society institutions in dealing with families affected by crises and disasters.

Participation: A group of influential public figures, media, educators and businessmen, in addition to the presence of a group of intellectuals and creative figures from Egypt and the Arab world, important participants from Egypt and Arab countries, and an elite group of specialists in the field of psychology and counselling in Egypt and the Arab world.
