Workshop on “Final draft report of the Assessment of the current implementation of the chemicals and waste related MEAs in West Asia region”

In the West Asia region, there are very little reliable evidence to know whether the countries are doing enough to implement the chemicals and waste related MEAs, what exactly the gaps in the national implementation capacities are. UNEP West Asia Office in collaboration with the BCRC-Egypt intends to assist the region to assess the current status of the implementation of the MEA’s in the West Asian countries and fill in the implementation gap. This will ultimately lead to the enhancement of the capacity of the countries in the West Asia region to implement and comply with the chemicals and waste related MEA’s.
