Regional Centres’ Resource Mobilisation Clinic for the regional centres under the Basel and Stockholm conventions

Highlights: Interactive online clinic for regional centres under the Basel and Stockholm conventions to:

• Strengthen resource mobilization and collaboration efforts across Regional Centres through expert insights and practical guidance. 

• Equip Regional Centres with best practices, tools, and tailored strategies for enhanced resource mobilization. 

• Facilitate peer exchange and capacity building through dynamic, interactive sessions. 

This meeting was developed in response to the needs identified by Regional Centre Directors at their recent annual meeting in Geneva, as well as Decisions SC-11/13 and BC-16/17, and will feature discussions of best practices and tools to support the creation of effective, tailored strategies for resource mobilization and thereby advance the objectives of the conventions.

• To build capacity and enhance collaboration among Centres, reinforcing regional efforts toward chemicals and waste safety and sustainable environmental practices under the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions. 

• To provide inputs on tools and strategies for Centres to develop effective resource mobilization approaches that support the achievement of the objectives of the conventions.
